Create Batch
Leave this empty and PoultryOps will create a batch code automatically.
The breed picks the feed guide, weight targets and normal FCR for this batch.
Use 2 feeds if your shop has no Broiler Grower: Starter to Day 18, mixed into Finisher on Days 19–21. Never use "Growers Mash": it's for layers.
Enter either the supplier price per chick or the total invoice amount; PoultryOps calculates the other value.
Batch Actions
It's chosen when the batch is created. Change it only if the bag you need can't be bought; the change is kept in the Activity Log.

Feed
+ Extra feed
Only for feed given outside the refill times, like a top-up. Normal feeding is recorded with Record on each refill above.
Select the feed stock item and enter the amount issued.
⚠️ Feed not taken from inventory needs the owner's (admin's) approval before it counts.
Feed bought outside inventory: no stock is deducted, and this amount is recorded as the feed cost.
Enter the total amount paid for this feed (optional).
Mortality
No signal? Save anyway: the photo is kept on this phone and sent when you're back online. Without a photo the record waits for approval.
Weight
Weigh birds picked at random from different parts of the house.
Separate weights with commas, spaces or new lines. Leave out crossed-out readings.

🩺 Record Medicine / Health Issue
🔎 Symptom guide: what could it be?
A guide only: several diseases look alike. Separate sick birds, write down what you see, and call the vet before treating.
⚠️ This medicine is not from inventory, so it needs the owner's (admin's) approval before it counts.
Select the medicine stock item and the quantity used, if any.
For illness (e.g. Tylodox: 5 days), enter the full course. Today counts as day 1; the app adds a daily reminder for each remaining day and skips preventive Tylodox days during the course.

📦 Create Stock Item
Required for feed. Feed stock must use kg as its unit.
⚠️ Only bags that say Broiler. "Growers Mash", layers, chick mash and kienyeji feeds are for hens: too little protein for broilers.
Enter what you actually bought. PoultryOps fills in the quantity and the total, and works out the price per kg.
Enter what you actually bought.
Enter the total on the supplier invoice or the unit buying price. PoultryOps calculates the matching value.
Stock Movement
Enter what you actually bought. PoultryOps fills in the quantity and the total, and works out the price per kg.
Enter what you actually bought.
The day it was actually used or bought, e.g. the day a bag was opened.
For usage, wastage and stock-out, cost is automatically calculated from the saved stock buying price.
Filled in with the item's usual supplier; change it if you bought elsewhere. A new name is saved automatically.

💸 Submit Expense
Use this for services and bills such as transport, labour, rent or vet visits. Feed, bedding and other goods kept in store go through Inventory. Vaccines, vitamins and medicine from the Health Plan: enter what you paid when you tick the task done there, not here, so it isn't counted twice.
⚠️ Expenses are money spent outside inventory, so each one waits for the owner's (admin's) approval.

At least 10 birds, never more than 100. 25% is a good balance.
Sets today's date, batch days, due dates and the times shown, for everyone.
📈 Feed guide from past batches
After enough good batches, new batches can start on a feed guide corrected by what your birds really ate (at most 10% up or down per week). Nothing changes until you press Use for new batches; running batches always keep their guide.
📍 Farm location
Delivery distances are measured from this pin. It never moves by itself: only Change pin moves it, and every move is recorded in the Activity Log.
Works from anywhere: in Google Maps, press and hold on the farm to drop a pin, copy the numbers it shows (like -1.0312, 37.0699) or the link, and paste here.
🛵 Customer orders & delivery
Customers can only order once a batch reaches the ordering day below, so nobody orders chicks that are weeks from ready. Delivery fee = (distance − free radius) × rate per km, at least the minimum fee. Distance = straight line from the farm to the customer's shared location × road allowance. Staff can correct the km on any order.
Saving these never moves the farm pin above.
Welcome note
Shown on the customer portal (before and after sign-in) and on the staff Home page. Steps: one per line.
Morning routine reminder
Sent to admins, managers and workers once a day at this farm time while a batch is active, and shown on their Home page. Tips: one per line as "Heading: details".

Assign Role
Delete User Permanently
Removes the person's login, roles and contact details for good — this can't be undone. If they recorded anything (feed, sales, approvals…), their name stays on those records so the farm history still adds up. To only pause someone, set their status to inactive instead.

Backup
🧰 Backup Database
🛡️ Backup / Restore Safety
Production rule: always create and download a fresh backup before restoring any database file. Restore is powerful and should only be done by Admin.
- Create a fresh backup.
- Download the fresh backup to your computer.
- Confirm staff are not actively entering records.
- Select the restore database file.
- Restore only if you are sure.
- Restart PoultryOps after restore if the latest data does not appear immediately.

Restore Database
Restore only when necessary. After restoring, restart PoultryOps if the latest data does not appear immediately.
This server uses PostgreSQL. For safety, PostgreSQL backups (.sql) are restored on the server with psql, not from this page. Download a backup above and ask the system administrator to restore it.
